Jane Prichard was performing research experiments in order to finish up her Master’s Degree in Botany when she was shot in the back on September 20th, 1986. Just days after Jane was killed, investigators pleas to the public for witnesses to come forward worked in their favor. Police believed that their prime suspect had fallen into their laps but they’d have to test their one piece of evidence to determine the truth.
